Rare Antique pen Pocket KNIFE Art Nouveau Deco French Pencil AS IS Belle Epoque

ABOUT:
I have had several mechanical pencils over the years but I have not had one with an attached pen knife / pocket knife.  Neat piece with the body of the pencil being a swirling floral design with a push up lever on the side and attached to the back is a 2 blade pocket knife with mother of pearl handle. The metal looks like nickel silver or perhaps silver plate, it has a bit warmer coloring than solid silver.
NOTE - the pencil mechanism needs some work.  We tried to insert a piece of replacement lead but spinning it did not send the lead up and down, it seems the inner track that holds the lead is a bit misshapen and jammed.  I'm not sure what would be involved in fixing this, but I am selling it AS IS because it is a unique piece with the attached knife.  Perhaps the knife was used to cut / sharpen lead, or perhaps it was just meant to be a multi use tool.
There is a hexagon shaped part of the design which is neat because it keeps it from rolling off the table - maybe it was originally used on a ship? : )
This is an antique Belle Epoque era piece that I acquired in France.
MEASUREMENTS:
The piece measures 4 inches in length, and when you extend the pencil it is 4 3/4.
HALLMARKS:
There are some hallmarks on the knife blade but I can't decipher them.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned with some age to them so they are in estate condition.  Pencil does not seem to work.  Even with replacement lead I'm not sure if the inside metal holder would expand the lead.  There is a crack to one side of the mother of pearl handle.  Some deterioration to the blades.  No dings or dents to the silver case.  The button is a bit stubborn to push up and down.   Still a really cool and very rare piece!
