ANTIQUE FRENCH SILVER CRYSTAL JARDANIER CENTERPIECE IMPORT FOR TSARIST RUSSIA

Description

Offering for sale  antique Continental / French silver centerpiece, also known as a jardanier. It was designed  in Louis XVI style in the late 19th  century . Made of high-quality silver, this jardanier was imported specifically for the  Imperial Russian market  at the end of the 19th century.  The proof for  that is the import mark  on the bottom  near the foot .
In  1908  was  introduced new  import  mark.
Kokoshnik mark  in a standing  oval with its  lower end flattend. The face is turned right and on the bottom 84 ( Silver content ).
Between  them, the Cyrillic
letter superseded with a letter indicating the assay office in Imperial  Russia . (See last picture )
. Most likely  this piece  imported from France  or Belgium  from very well-known  silver  company " Wolfer   Freres ".
The jardanier/centerpiece  in very  good vintage . No visible damages or diffects or repairs or  soldering.
Crystal bowl with  NO chips, just a few  scratches  and several  bubbles  inside  hardly  noticeable.
